Aina Koa Pono LLC is primarily an alternative energy production group focused on non-fossil fuel energy that will enable us to develop designs using locally generated feedstocks for a full-scale gasification and electricity/liquids plants for construction in the Hawai'ian market. AKP services include:

• Biofeedstock products including:
  • Sweet sorghum
  • Saccharum species hybrids including varieties selected for total biomass called energy cane
  • Refuse Derived Fuel
  • Pennisetum purpureum (napier grass or banagrass)
  • Hybrid species of grasses such as sudax 
  • Eucalyptus Grandis, other eucalyptus species and hybrids
  • Other tree genera such as Leuanena and Albizia
• Supporting research and design for gasification and electricity/liquids plants
